What the Nightwatch means to the Dutch, is the Tomaatteja to the Finnish: a historic painting of national pride! Finnish National Gallery send us this botanical close-up to work from, painted in 1913 by Finnish painter Pekka Halonen (1865-1933). Tomaatteja is part of a series of paintings of views of his own garden, a paradise in the surroundings of lake Tuusula where the family would grow their own vegetables to be as self-sustaining as possible.

It can not come as a surprise that the products we have developed go well with garden life: a rainponcho against the rain and the floppy hat against the sun! Can't wait to see what the future holds for this pattern design.
